VeinTech Device Training Study
We want your thoughts on our new design!
Service Description
VeinTech Pty Ltd will be conducting a research study in collaboration with the University of Western Australia, and we are looking for some participants to get involved. This is a student project and will be supervised by academic staff. The purpose of this research study is to assess the suitability of the workflow and the effectiveness of the training provided to successfully insert a cannula into a phantom model using our novel vein finding ultrasound device. To investigate these inputting factors, a phantom model will be used which will aim to simulate realistic anatomical characteristics and within a clinical environment. The study aims to recruit PIVC trained clinicians to participate and give their valued feedback which will influence our future device design in finding the right vein, first time, every time. We are looking for: • Qualified nurses and doctors who are trained to cannulate and perform PIVC regularly (at least weekly). • Not frequently practicing ultrasound guided PIVC placement • Full time or part time staff member.
