Medical Device Usability Evaluation

Service Description

At VeinTech, we are designing a new medical device intended to assist you to find veins for peripheral intravenous catheter insertion. To get the device into your hands, we need to conduct usability evaluations with you, our end user, to ensure that we've designed a device that is safe and effective - and which you actually want to use! The device being evaluated is an investigational medical device and is not yet commercially available. Your participation in this study will involve in-person attendance at our partner's facility at Veranex, Providence where you will be trained to use our device and then perform the intended use of the device on a patient-mimicking training phantom in a clinical simulation environment. You will be observed by a moderator as you perform the task and shall be asked questions related to your experience using the medical device following your simulation. This study is designed to evaluate the device, not your clinical competence, technical skill, or job performance. In this form we'll ask for some of your professional details to check if you are eligible to participate and ask for your availability the week of our study.
